1984. How do you think Orwell managed to imagine the future such the way he did?
Q. 1984. For people who have red that book it is impossible not to make a comparison with our present days. Cameras everywhere, at offices, elevators, companies, private and residential buildings, airports and even streets. If we think about near future we imagine and even more controlled world. How did Orwell manage to imagine de future such a way he did when he wrote the book between 1947 and 1948. In consequence how do u imagine the world in another 50 years?

A. People who read his book (which were millions) took upon his view of the future. So, the future is built around his book. I don't think on his part that it was predicting, it was creative thinking. In 50 years, I think we will have established in the minds of humans that to create life is valuable, to destroy life is unacceptable. No more wars. To create the best genetically able being is paramount. Don't worry about overpopulation there are vast oceans to conquer and build underwater cities. The mind is a terrible thing to waste, genius with new ideas, all having a good education and good health will drive the world's technical well being and source for expansion to other planets. Or..the bomb. People will loose their civilized world...or [cont.]

How would I find video footage of a performance at the Festival Of Perth in 1984?
Q. Hi, I know this is a weird question, but my Mum was a performer in a show called "Body Rap" at the 1984 Festival of Perth. I know that video footage does exist, but cannot find any more information than that. The Artist who's piece it was, was called Sam Abercrombie, who lived in Freo at the time, he later moved to Portugal(?). I would love to find any information about this show, as I think the footage would be a huge surprise at Christmas!! ANY help that can be given would be absolutely fantastic, Thanks. Oh, I should have added that the peice was performed at the Art Gallery of Western Australia, maybe that'll ring some bells?
