A. One of the best things to do is to consult the literature, although you know the standard reagents often used to convert alcohols to ketones. Plug in the names of the two compounds in a google search with the word "oxidation" and you come up with plenty of hits, such as: You want to consider the oxidation conditions and reagents carefully. Some aromatics might require milder conditions that alkyl reactants.
