A. 1 2 3 4 5 6 have to be there somewhere in the 9 outcomes there are 3 more results to be accounted for which can be of 3 types (a) all 3 same, e.g. 111 : 6C1 = 6 ways (b) 2 same & 1 different : 6C1*5C1 = 30 ways (c) all 3 different : 6C3 = 20 ways when you put them together,since the dice are distinct, you have (a) 4 of one type, 5 distinct: 6*9!/4! = 90,720 ways (b) 3 of one type, 2 of another, 4 distinct :30*9!/3!2! = 907,200 ways (c) 2 each of 3 types, 3 distinct: 20*9!/2!2!2! = 907,200 ways add them to get ans: 1,905,120 ---
