Q. yea liketheshadowofthesun or w/e...yea i have 90 terms and i researched them ALL...so stop treatign me like and I-D-I-O-T...try googling that...i just got confusing answers on some so i thought i'd see what the yahoo answers people had to say...so yea if you have enough free time to go around and criticize people try putting yourself to use (you dont seem like a complete moron)and actually answering some questions,...idc if they are mine or not, i have enough other ppl willing to help me...so dont try to put me off ass some lazy ass to stupid to look up the answers...im just trying to get a good grade...PS:thatnks to all the ppl who helped!

A. a philosopher His most influential work was Sic et non, a collection of contradictory selections from Scripture and the Fathers of the Church. A. The Scholastics were started by Boethius. "Boethius has been called by Lorenzo Valla the last of the Romans and the first of the scholastic philosophers."

A. First a caution: we are dealing with a translation from a medieval language and so whatever Abelard said, this is most likely a rough approximation. The comment seems simple enough. Abelard was a bit of rebel against authority and the comment favors asking questions, rather than accepting on authority and in turn seeking the truth.
