The word itself is derived from the Greek word organon, itself derived from the better-known word ergon. In the social sciences, organizations are the object of analysis for a number of disciplines, such as sociology, economics, political science, psychology, management, and organizational communication. In more specific contexts, particularly for sociologists, the term "institution" may be preferred. Meaning an organization that helps someone start a company not only financially but also gives them advice through market research and or other methods. Also organizations that help companies until they get on their feet. I'm looking for an organization that you can take an idea to and they help you make it happen (turn it into a reality). Q. Does anybody know of any charitable organizations in the San Fernando Valley (CA) that would accept/need a donation of books? It has to be a group/organization that would not resell them. We have boxes of leftover holiday clearance books that need a home. Most of them are children's books, but some are for adults. I would be grateful for any information you could give me! The only reason I say it cannot be an organization that will resell them is because those are our company rules, or else we cannot donate the books. The local United Way can direct you to homeless shelters that house moms and kids and to domestic violence shelters. Kids and moms in shelters have had to leave behind a lot of things including books and books will encourage reading.
