A. First of all, using plan B in a haphazard manner will mess up your system. It's only for emergencies-use other methods of contraception and make smart decisions.( It's not a reprimanding-but women must be their own advocates, using high dose hormones like plan B frequently is definitely not good) You should get your periods in one week or so.

What time period does the Gunslinger by Stephen King take place?

A. Stephen King's time period - seriousley. It is not realy written for a specific time. The main story takes place in a world that is recognizable as the American West but exists in an alternate time frame or parallel universe to ours; Roland exists in a place where "the world has moved on." This world has a few things in common with our own, however, including memories of the song "Hey Jude" and the child's rhyme that begins "Beans, beans, the musical fruit." Vestiges of forgotten or skewed versions of real-world technology also appear, such as a reference to a gas pump in a tunnel under a mountain that is worshipped as a god named "Amoco", and an abandoned way station with a water pump which is powered by an "atomic slug".

A. Actually, they were, but the disparity still was stark. Jim Crow was alive and well in many remnants of the Old South, as some called it. Overall, black Americans did enjoy increased income, increased mobility and increasing educational opportunities for their children, but still: many a black person found it expedient to shuffle and look down when passing white men on the street, and kept well away from "whites only" areas of town after dark. As a white boy in the 1940s and 50s, I lived in a town where "The other side of the tracks" was a reality that many folks today would find unbelievable - black folks truly did live on the opposite side of the railroad tracks that ran through town from the white folks, coming across during the day… [cont.]
