Youth is the period between childhood and adulthood, described as the period of physical and psychological development from the onset of puberty to maturity and early adulthood. Definitions of the specific age range that constitutes youth vary. An individual's actual maturity may not correspond to their chronological age, as immature individuals exist at all ages. UsageAround the world the terms "youth", "adolescent", "teenager", and "young person" are interchanged, often meaning the same thing, occasionally differentiated. Youth generally refers to a time of life that is neither childhood nor adulthood, but rather somewhere in-between. Youth also identifies a particular mindset of attitude, as in "He is very youthful". The term youth is also related to being young.
Youth is an alternative word to the scientifically-oriented adolescent and the common terms of teen and teenager. Another common title for youth is young person or young people. Population aged under 15 years in 2005From Wikipedia under the

Answered by MamaJenkins - Fri Jul 11 21:45:24 2008 How do you start a youth center?
Q. I have found that there is NOTHING positive and cool for kids to do in my city. Aside from eating and going to the movies there are no cool park or recreational events for the teenagers. I think this breeds problems. I would like to open a youth center complete with all sports (realistically i mean) a computer lab, and different activities yet offer it at a price that low to middle income families can afford. Any ideas on funding? Asked by reciprocityabound - Wed Aug 13 18:40:06 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. It isn't just funding Poppet, you have to be trained to a certain extent for this sort of work. Not too long back I was seriously thinking of setting up a Rehab help centre for Addicts and Alcoholics. The draw back being you have to have trained and professional staff . Sadly where I live there are not that many out of work or ready to give themselves to Addicts. If You really want to do this and put in all the hard work and Homework, you will be surprised how many out there will help you with funding.
