There was no Bronze Age or Medieval period in north America. The natives went straight from a stone age culture to the modern period. Bronze age, Iron Age, Roman, Saxon and Viking, Medieval are all periods of European history and can not be applied to the Americas. The fact is that although the whole of North and South America retained neolithic culture until white contact, certain native cultures also evolved rudimentary metalworking techniques. This ranged from the very crude use of native copper in the Great Lakes and Central America regions to casting gold and other metals in central and South America.
