Guys, have you befriended a female without intentions of hooking up?
Q. im sick and tired of girls saying "a guy is never yer friend, he just wants to hook up" its not true. i have many girl friends that i would never consider. their just buds. so guys, have you ever befriended w/o intentions?

A. Of course. I have a great many female friends I've never considered hooking up with/that was not my intention when becoming their friend. I think that idea goes back to high school when male/female friendships weren't quite so common as they are by the time you hit your 20's. Back then, the two genders were really just "feeling each other out" and most interactions actually were due to attraction/interest. There wasn't enough comfort and both viewed the other gender as some sort of exotic creatures with strange, difficult to understand behavior. I actually can't think of anyone I know who doesn't have both male/female friends (and *just* friends, people they'd never hook up with). I just got done texting a gal I've sometimes referred to… [cont.]

Is the American who befriended the Bears in Alaska?
Q. the most stupid man who ever lived, I only saw part of the documentary but I couldn't believe how stupid he was. He was going real close to them as if they were cuddly toys, the bears ate him and unfortunately they ate his girl friend as well the bear was shot dead. The man should have known better but the Bear didn't ans he got shot for it.

A. Contrary to what Carry On said Treadwell was actually much stupider than he was portrayed. He was portrayed as a grizzly expert. He was not. He was just a doof who hung out with bears. He was warned, even ordered, many times to leave the bears alone. He would not listen. Why he lasted 13 years was not because up till the last encounter he did everything right but rather he just got lucky. He got what he had coming (not that I think that he deserved to die but like someone who plays russian roulette eventually the odds get you) but the true tragedy was that he got his girlfriend killed too. Edit: Read the book Death in the Grizzly Maze: The Timothy Treadwell Story by Mike Lapinski.

How do you like to befriended with someone you don't know?
Q. Just like in the internet, do you like to chat people with no the same race, culture and etc.?
Asked by nandy - Wed Jul 12 23:12:37 2006 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. keep your friends close and your enemies closer right? treat everybody like an enemy, get to know them, exchange e-mails, and the thing i do next is look up their record, police history all of that. once i trust the person enough i concider them my friend. trusting the person is the key, if i dont know you and we meet, im going to think you are some crazy person trying to kill me, so if i learn a few things about you and trust you enough i will make you my friend, but mostly i just dont talk to people i dont know.

His destination was St Helena, a small and windswept island under British control. Has anyone ever befriended a squirrel?
Q. One day I went to my aunt's house to study Grey squirrels so I put out hazelnuts, almonds, Acorns, and Brazil nuts( all unsalted). I went to check them and saw a little Grey squirrel taking Acorns and almonds then running away with them. So I thought, "How cute, my first squirrel." But he kept coming back. I knew it was him because of the way he approached and took the nuts. At first he wouldn't come near where I was at all and he climbed up the tree and wagged his tail making a hissing noise(Meaning he was scared). But later on he came closer and closer to get the nuts. Then when it was in the evening I put the nuts out on the fence and waited. He came to the fence so I climbed on too and he came very close and I could have touched him… [cont.]

How come every single guy I've ever befriended has made a pass at me??
Q. I've never had many male friends, but the few guys I've befriended have all eventually made passes at, even my ex-best friend who happens to be a GAY guy! Is a platonic friendship between a man and a woman even possible? One of my best friends has tons of guy friends and I feel envious sometimes because she can get along with guys and keep it at a friend level. and no i m not a flirt, or lead anyone on, for some reason my male friends that I've had in the past have always tried to take things further, and of course when I say no the friendship is over :(

A. Ok..here's the thing. Guys (unless they are strictly gay) will always be interested in more than friendly relationships with women they find attractive. It's just a fact of life. It's how the human race has survived. I don't know how it is that your friend has so many guy friends. I'd be willing to bet there's more to it than meets the eye though. Bottom line...they only way you're going to find a guy that you can be buddies with is if he: A: Is strictly gay with no hint of bi-sexuality B: Doesn't find you the least bit attractive C: Is a close relative (but beware of that one...see Jerry Springer) D: Is Blind (again beware...those guys see with their hands) I don't want to let you think it's hopeless what you're looking for but… [cont.]

Was Barack Hussein Obama on drugs when he befriended Rev. Wright?
Q. Doesnt it make sense that this is the only way he could have lured him into his evil lifestyle. Obama was probably so heavily into drugs that he was looking for an escape and fell victim to Rev. Wright kinda like Jim Jones and his victims do you agree?

A. I think your question is based upon a false premise. Obama does not have an evil life style. You are making up 'facts' and then asking whether people agree with your fantasy. The question is therefore bogus and unanswerable.

A. Chinchillas, like any small animal (hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, etc) are naturally skittish around people. It's perfectly normal for these types of animals to run away from you, no matter how long you've had them. (I've learned that hamsters are a little easier because once they get used to you, they don't protest being held too much). I've worked with chincillas and they usually do run away from me, but once I catch them, they are fine and like to be held. I have my own guinea pig who I love more than life itself. I take him out alot and he loves being held. I've had him for almost a year but he still runs away from me all the time when I go to take him out. Over time, your chinchilla may stop putting up a fight, or he may not. Just… [cont.]

Q. A friend of mine is newly divorced and has been hanging out with me more often. She has met 7 of my friends and has befriended 6 and is dating 1. I am very uncomfortable with this and feel that it needs to stop or it could ruin our friendship. I just don't know how to explain this to her without her getting mad.
