Q. I mean, even if it ISN'T a home-based business. I hear how some people work @ home. How can some people be lucky like that if 97% of work @ home offers are scams? & for people who ARE successfully working from home, how come you can't tell anyone what you do & how you get access to such good job? I thought with business, you're supposed to recruit people & help them, too. Asked by Question Queen on Royal Throne! - Sat Jul 26 12:13:16 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. Because nobody actually has those work-at-home jobs, and legitimate business owners want their staff to show up to the workplace every day. The few people who do really work at home aren't just cruising the internet spamming message boards and posting AdWords. They're typing legal documents as a transcriptionist or paralegal, running their own home-based technical business or consultancy, or being brokers, bakers, etc. They have no use for a faraway home-based staff member who they're never going to meet. Answered by Gravy - Sat Jul 26 13:59:07 2008 How do you help people understand that adopting is better then breeding/buying? Q. Some people seem so set on this. It's frustrating working in shelters, and seeing dogs come and go. Their are an estimated 400 million stray dogs alone in this world (not to mention cats, and other animals). Why are people so fixated on breeding, buying from pet stores, or back yard breeders? There are dogs of all ages, puppies to adults, mixed to pure breeds. But instead at Christmas everyone goes and buys a puppy. Not to mention the shelters that are overwhelmed with 8 month dogs in spring. There are shelters everywhere that are good, some are pounds and put the dogs to sleep after 72 hours. What does it take to get through to people? Dogs arn't fashion accessories and they arn't disposable!!! Does anyone feel this way too? How do… [cont.] Asked by rocksnobb - Mon Dec 18 15:05:34 2006 - - 10 Answers - 0 Comments A. I was a breeder and exhibitor of purebred dogs. My dogs were in conformation, obedience and herding trials. As a breeder, I thoroughly knew the breed I was working with, my puppies were sold only to approved homes, on contracts and I knew where each and every one of them was. If a puppy, for whatever reason, didn't work out in the home it was in, I took it back. I love purebreds for many reasons, chiefly that I like to be able to do things with my dogs in various competitions. It's a recreation and much more. I am in no way responsible for the amazingly large amount of idiots who breed their dogs - mutts or pet quality pure breds, and flood shelters with unwanted dogs. Therefore, I see no reason why I should have someone else's… [cont.] Answered by walking lady RIP Tom - Mon Dec 18 15:17:06 2006 How many people have family members who either have a disability or disorder?
Q. I have so much compassion for people who struggle with something because I have a learning disability. It wasn't discovered until I started the first grade. I have cousin who is Dyslexic and my best friend has Mosaic Downs Syndrome. My cousin works extremely hard in life and is attending college. My best friend is super smart and can play four different musical instruments. It seems like nowadays that so many people either have a disability or a disorder. I had an old friend who had Social Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar and Depression. It seems like a lot of people in this world struggle with something. It goes to show that our world isn't perfect. Asked by Craftygirl7 - Mon Sep 10 17:18:40 2007 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. The majority of the women in my family have problems with depression. Most of us are on some sort of medication for it. I also have an Aunt who has Paranoid Schizophrenia with Multiple Personality Disorder. I'm glad you are compassionate about learning disorders. They are difficult and very frustrating to the individual suffering with it. I personally work with 6 people with severe mental retardation. Although the ones with Downs tend to be my favorite!
